The story happens 4 years after the original plot of Pokemon Black and White, where former Plasma Grunt, Ombra, is sent out on a journey to find out what they should do with their life. They meet friends, foes, and a few from their past along the way as they figure out what they truly want to do.💛💜

The Bible is pretty clear that anyone claiming to know the exact date of Jesus' second coming is lying, and most non-Evangelical Christians in the US seem to know this. What most US Christians don't know is that the idea of a "rapture" is not in the Bible at all and did not exist for the first 90% of Christian history. The way most Americans currently think of it is heavily influenced by a series of novels written by a major figure of the Christian Right and then adapted into films starring Kirk Cameron and Nicolas Cage. The concept of the "rapture" is younger than the lawn mower.
These guys would be the biggest hit at any Renaissance fair they went to.

One time I went to a Ren Faire where a guy went as a visiting dignitary from an I think imaginary but Ashanti-adjacent (iirc, it's been a while) kingdom and people went nuts over it.

😱TWO WEEKS UNTIL PUB DAY!😱
To celebrate this little milestone, I thought it might be fun to share the assets I created for the pitch proposal of WHEN THE TIDES HELD THE MOON before it went out on submission. As those who have been following along for a while know, being the illustrator for this story wasn’t always a given, but my wise agent Saritza Hernández encouraged me to prepare some sketches that would help convince prospective publishers that an illustrated novel was a risk worth taking — and I’m so glad I did!
I had about a week or so to pull the art together which is why they’re a bit rough, and as those who have held the physical ARC can attest to, we made different decisions about the artistic treatment of the interiors that better served the look and feel we were going for. That said, even after all this time, I enjoy looking at these as a reminder that some risks are worth taking. You just never know what’s possible!
I’ll always be grateful to Diana Pho, Erewhon Books & Kensington Books for taking a chance on a fully illustrated queer historical romantasy. I hope you’ll take a chance on it too when it releases in two weeks!
